PRESS RELEASE
Following the iF DESIGN Awards, we are pleased to announce that the "A Space for Prayer" series from last year's "A Space for Concord/The Journey to Your Creation Flourishing Vol.2" has won the Wallpaper* Smart Space Awards 2022. The award was presented in the category of LIFE-ENHANCING OBJECT OR SERVICE.
This category is reserved for the most beautiful designs that bring us joy and enrich our lives, have a noticeable positive impact on the lives of their users, and enhance the aesthetics of a space.
We are very grateful to receive this award in the LIFE-ENHANCING OBJECT OR SERVICE category, as we have been striving to create designs that make people feel as enriched as possible after the stagnation of our lives over the past few years. We are also very happy to hear that Rossana Hu of Neri & Hu highly evaluated our work.
It is thanks to all of you that we were able to receive this award. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
We will strive to contribute to society in the future.

iF DESIGN AWARD 2022 Winner!
April 12, 2022
Katsuki Connecton has received the iF DESIGN AWARD for the "A Space for Prayer" series from its 2021 collection, "A Space for Concord/The Journey to Your Creation Flourishing Vol.2".The award was presented in the PRODUCT category (Textiles, Wall, Floor).
The award-winning collection is a combination of uneven rugs and three-dimensional rugs, inspired by the three-dimensionality of origami that appears when folded over. Origami has also been called "prayer paper" in ancient times. We have designed a space that creates a quiet time to face one's heart slowly and pray.
The culture of origami, in which a single sheet of paper can be freely combined and enjoyed, is like Lego, bringing endless enjoyment to our lives. We hope that Origami design will spread its wings around the world and that more and more people will enjoy a spiritually rich life.
Message from Designer
We received high evaluations for Idea and Form, and especially for Differentiation.
We are very happy to receive such a high evaluation in Europe, where rugs have a long history.
I would also like to thank all the craftsmen who made the rugs, the shipping companies who arranged for the products to be judged despite the difficult circumstances, the photographers, the iF DESIGN AWARD secretariat, and everyone else. And thank you to the sheep! I will continue to strive earnestly for designs that enrich people's hearts and minds.
